Value for money

Quotes from volunteers:

“BOVA gave me so much that money can’t buy”

“Absolutely value for money – you could not get anywhere near the same value in a business environment”

BOVA does not charge a ‘placement fee’ as we are not aiming to make a profit out of volunteers. However, we cannot afford to make a loss either, so volunteers are not paid and are expected to cover the cost of their training (two training weekends), flights, insurance, visas and so on. The host community usually provides food, lodgings and work – in the words of Don Bosco “Work, bread and heaven!”

Costs

Administration charge – £25 (paid with initial application)
Training weekend – £100 (volunteers are normally expected to attend two residential weekends)

All cheques should be made out to “SDB Trustees Ltd/Bosco Volunteer Action”

I’m interested. What should I do next?
